Simple and (at this point) indispensable.

Ive been using this app for quite some time now and its one that I use quite frequently. If you need to quickly and easily send back pictures or notes back to a notebook computer, for example, this allows you to very easily just type a quick reminder and with a tap, its sent back off to the pre-set e-mail address. It sounds like it wouldnt be useful, but Ive found it to be incredibly handy. Its just something that made me say after getting it, "Why didnt this exist before?" Thanks for the developers for continuing to support the app even though they arent making money off of it and are supporting the server that sends the e-mails!!!

Using it for years its simple and just works

This is a great part of my todo workflow. Simply sends and email to myself and I can deal with it later. Makes it hard to forget anything!

Captio is a simple to use yet very useful app. I use it as an ambient notebook always in my pocket on my iPod. If I hear something interesting on the radio, on TV, in a conversation, or see an interesting title in a bookstore, I note it in Captio. It replaces notes on napkins, post-it notes, and scraps of paper. Captio is fast - from opening taps to actually entering notes is only seconds. Fast makes for effectiveness in note takers and Captio is fast. Simplicity is a virtue in a note taker. This app focuses on information entry and getting it into my email. Note organization happens at home where I can place my Captio notes exactly where they need to go when I have the time and focus to organize them in Mempad on my Wintel desktop. Captio is perfect for capturing info-lint- try it.

This app conforms to Apple standard of doing few things very well. Effect is great. This is one of my most used apps. If you want to improove it, just make even faster (start, next note) and simpler (bigger buttons). Do not add features. It will only slow it down and riun the effect.

Works great in tandem with Mailbox app. I think captio only needs one more thing: ability to define at least one more email address (ie for work) so that I can send work related notes to one email and personal to another. Would be 5 stars if it was updated for iPhone 6 plus resolution.

It does just what it promises. Very helpful.

Massive keyboard is no fun

Simple and straightforward. One of my favorites and the absolute easiest way to track notes on my phone!

I bought Captio specifically for the ability to send myself emails quickly using the iOS8 share sheet. While this works, there are some bugs that result in the From address not being used which can break some mail filters and Gmail labeling automation. There is also some inconsistency with the formatting of mailed webpages when selecting text. There is no preview of exactly what text is captured and where it is included in the email message. This differs depending on whether or not you have selected text or not. I do not have enough brain power to remember these idiosyncratic differences. On a positive note, the developers are friendly and quick to reply. They confirm not only the "From" bug but also agreed with my suggestion for more consistency with and previews for the email formatting. On a bad note, they do not consider this app a priority and told me that it remains in a perpetual "maintenance mode" limbo, where bugs and feature requests must accumulate to a vague amount before they will consider if they will even address them, let alone when. The developers were very honest about this and I like that. Which makes it even more frustrating to have to leave a 3-star review for this 4-star app with 5-star potential. As I told the developers, they had me as a fan but now I am just a customer. Address the bug, improve the posting experience and Captio regains its 5-star rating and this review gets updated. Had I known about these issues, I would have held off on purchasing until they were addressed.

Love this app and use it all the time. Just checked the history, and found that I used it about 20 times last month.

This app is quickly becoming an essential one for me. The one thing that could make it even better is to make the microphone button much MUCH bigger. The SEND button should also be bigger. This way when Im walking around or doing other things, I can quickly hit an obvious button and dictate my note and send. Perhaps the microphone button could go right next to the current "plus" sign.

Works well so.....please add a Share extension for the iPhone Voice Memo app! Would love to email recorded notes in 2 taps and no typing.

This may be the most frequently used app on my phone. Simple and stable. A great collection tool for Omnifocus or any email.

There is absolutely no faster way for me to capture notes to OmniFocus. Captio launches quickly, the keyboard is ready for typing, and a single tap quickly sends the email. Its faster to use this and OFs Mail Drop feature than to open OmniFocus itself. Faster by far. The formatting options are minimal, but enough to customize for any particular use. Like others have said, this is an extremely simple app, but it can easily be the one you use most. It has a permanent home in the bottom left corner of my iPhone.
